Has anyone tried a 150 radial to see what the effects really are. All I can find is people saying the bike wasn't meant to handle radials.. if its handling characteristics, we can change suspension settings and make it work.
I just want some feedback, cause I want to run a soft compound radial tire for the grip and the profile.

Can you post a picture of your front and rear?

I don't get crazy on the ole cane but I do like playing in the twisties and the previous owner put on avon roadrider's which suck. They don't heat up at all and have a crappy profile. At my best lean they still have 1inch or bigger chicken strips.
Not to mention that because of the hard compound and not heating up they feel pretty squirrely when you get over on them.

so i thought i would share my views on these tires. ( Conti Attacks) my metzlers where well shot so i can't give a good base description from those.
after breaking them in they feel like glue on the road. they are very comfortable with no tracking issues. as in wandering. The contis do have a quick turn in but whats different is the bike seems to be glued the more you lean. Theres no "plow" when you lean in, like an understeer. they grip and go where you want. and for a swerve in corner (hard) they will shoot right in. i feel very confident with these tires and have no worries on the corners the size im running is 120/70 and 150/70

I am going to order a pair of bt003's in a week or so. They make a 110/70 and 140/70 pair that should fit these wheels pretty good.
Since nobody can tell me the handling issue with running a radial on these bikes I am gonna get the set and report back in a few weeks after break in.

Well money didn't work out for the bt003's so I am getting the sport demon's. For future reference though, could someone explain what handling difference there is between using bias tires and radials on a hurricane.

Well since nobody answered the question about radial tires i will throw in my .02 cents on the pirelli's

These tires are awesome for a bias.
The profile works very well through twisties. I have no problem keeping up with the f4i through the mountains.
Nice stiff sidewall and a mushroom shape on the back tire make it really stable through curves.
Hit 45º leans on good pavement without a slip.

I woudlent mind hearing your guys opinion on a tire set up I was thinking about

front 110/80/17 Continental go
Rear 150/70/17 Pirelli sport demon

Do you think I will be fine mixing and matching? I would go for sport demons front and back but I cant find a front in the size I want

I know from miss matching tires on cars and quads on the track it can have good or had effects. Depends on the build of the tire and the compound.

I don't know the conti tread compound but i know the sport demons have a good sticky tread after warm up.
You don't want a stickier tire in the front and cause over steer, but at the same time a stickier tire on the rear and cause plow or understeer.
Both can be very bad in the wrong situation.
