Default Thoughts of selling...

I have given consideration to selling my 87 600 Hurricane. It only has 19,000 miles on it, runs very well (in the process of putting new carbs in), the body has some slight misalignments to it, ie all of the fairings dont fit together exactly perfect anymore). I laid it down once at about 10mph on some gravel from an intersection. Otherwise the bike is in incredible shape for being as old as the current crop of college freshman. What do you think it would be worth?

Also has anyone ever regretting selling their first true love? I mean first bike?

I was wondering the same thing. Mine is about the same. I want to sell and move to another F1 or a F3. The one I have now I had fun redoing and want to do another one. If anyone has a price that would be great. I have heard $1500, but idk if that is too high.

I saw an 88 with 29k on it sell for $2750, in generally same condition. I was thinking an f3 myself... I know I could proabably get $2500 for it, mainly because its one of the few bikes that anyone under 25 can put good insurance on for reasonable rates (I pay like $13 a month full coverage at age 26, no tickets, and its with my homeowners insurance).

Its just hard thinking about parting with something thats been with me longer than the wife

There was an ad here for one that was $2500. The bike had no fairings and was trashed. I believe he got $1700 for it.

I only paid $2000 for it originally... its hard to believe that the bike actually appreciated in value

Well yeah, I paid alot less than what it's worth. The guy thought he had a brand new bike.
