quick frame slider question
I'm looking to make some frame sliders at work to help protect . . . well the frame sense I don't have fairings.
I want to make two little ones for the end of the grips, and two larger ones to bolt to the frame.
I'm thinking of the two locations I circled below to mount the larger ones, which location would you guys recommend, I'm thinking the upper one.
But I definitely want to protect the covers cause they are in near perfect condition as is, so maybe I'll do both.
Also, can I replace this bolt with a slightly longer one with out any problems (the sliders will be counter bored), I see that it helps mount the engine to the frame, I don't want the thing dropping out on me.
any suggestions or insight would be helpful, thanks!

RE: quick frame slider question
Yes you can replace the bolt with a longer unit to fit your sliders.
Either location on the frame looks like a winner.
Another location would be on both sides of the rear axle.
If you are replacing nuts and bolts as a unit on your bike keep it metric and try not mix and match SAE and Metric bolt and nut combos.
