Storage?
hi all just picked up a 89 f1 and everything and i know my f2 i had i made a mechanical seat realese with a aluminum box to put insurace card registration. and what ever i wanted was about 4 inches deep. where does everyone put this stuff on there are are there neat things to do with them.
NOPE!
In IL, cops don't ask for registration anymore, just insurance, and all the insurance co's give you wallet cards. I keep the registration in an envelope in the tool compartment, anyway. If I ever need to get it, the fairing comes off by turning the lock with a coin.
To compensate, I picked up an Icon Urban tank bag:

It's AWESOME. the only downside is it's not hidden, and you can't leave it with the bike unattended. Also got me a cargo net for the rear seat. Other than that, you're SOL.

Page 2-9 of the Honda Service manual shows it. It's nothing more than a compartment in front of the battery. it should have a small bag of tools in it. If not, get one. It's the equivalent of a jack and spare for yuor car. Saved my butt quite a few times.
