This might be a dumb question, but is there any kind of storage box for my insurance card and registration on my 1998 f3?

 

nope, but you can buy an aftermarket undertray that makes your seat pop off by key or something and has a small storage area in it.

Put it back under where the toolkit goes under the tail. Thats where I keep my registration and insurance - takes only a second to pop that cover off. Also there is another small box directly behind the battery that I am not using for anything I suppose I could keep something there but then i'd have to take the seat off and thats a PITA.

On my 96, the previous owner installed a trunk kit that actually pops down from under the seat. You access it from under the tail light.. It has a button like a glove box in a car, and you don't have to remove the seat. I'll see if I can find it and then repost a link and a picture.

 

Here's a link to the original ad for the bike I bought with a picture of the "glove box" on my 96 F3. The guy I bought the bike from said he found it on ebay cheap. Hope this helps out.

The trunk kit is awesome. I ran it for a while on my 96. Then I converted to stadium seat conversion with a removable rear seat.The conversion came out awesome.I still got the kit in a box...
