I've used non adhesive silicone on carbs before. I put a dab on it in my finger and ran the gasket through my fingers. Worked well. Just wait overnight for it to fully cure before you introduce fuel.
You could use rtv, but you will probably have to replace the gaskets next time you open the float bowls.

Ok heres the update: I used gas-resistant form-a-gasket. I used gloves and put a dime size on finger and ran gaskets thru my finger and thumb. Put everything back together and let it set overnight. I think I made a dumb mistake though. I read somewhere that the air/fuel adjustments starting point is all the way turned in (seated) then 2.5 turns out. Only two of the air/fuel adjusters turn 360* around. I turned carb 1 and 4 all the way in then 2.5 turns out. On carbs 2 and 3 I just put them middleways.
Anyways I got everything back together and bike doesn't want to start. ERR! Any suggestions??? (No name calling please!) I know it was stupid to adjust the air fuel when it ran pretty good before.

2.5 turns out is correct for a base setting. The screws may still have limiting caps on them that need to be removed in order to be able to fully adjust them which it sounds like is what is happening. However, even if they are close to where they were previously the bike should still start & run or at least try to start.
Make sure you're getting spark to a plug and that something wasn't left unplugged or put back together wrong, and you can also try spraying a little carb cleaner/starting fluid in the carb intakes and see if it tries to fire indicating a fuel delivery problem..

Ok my girls back up and running again. Just had to fiddle with the idle and the air/fuel adjustments and BAM running again. Honda for ya! I took her 66 miles (highway) today and got 49 mpg. I'm taking another twisty way home to see what kinda mileage I get.
BTW (By the way) I had a single clogged small jet, causing some serious performance issues before the carb cleaning. Now my girl runs like a different machine. I'm one happy moto-man!
