Do you have any reason to come to Alberta? I could fix you up with almost all of the parts you need.

To me this is a sticking point "all i have is the frame (not titled, totaled)". I'm not sure what the titling laws are in your state but they can be a pain in the *** here. Until you get a frame with a clean title for a reasonable price it is a non starter IMO.

What I do see is a lot of parts in good shape that can be cleaned up and sold on ebay while you lurk for a bike that needs less work or at least has a clean title to start with. Winter months are a good time to snag a good deal. It gets tougher when spring time comes around.

Check out the fiche on Ronayers.com. All the parts and pricing is listed for oem stuff.
Buying everything new would cost more than a way newer bike.
There are at least 10 1st generation cbr600f bikes ranging from $500 to $2500 on Kijiji in Ontario. I'm sure there are more in the states.

ok, so what im getting is that restoring this bike would be quite costly and a pain to find all the parts and get a title. yesterday i had the engine in the frame and i started it up again and this time i put it in gear and i noticed a clack clack clack sound when i let the clutch out, and the clacking sounds were more prominent when i put it in a higher gear, still only when i let the clutch out. what going on there?

No load on the engine... could be the cam chain.

So, i started the engine up again and checked for the clacking sound with the sprocket off, and the noise was less noticeable, but still there
