Foot Peg Restoration
Ok, so somehow I decided that whilst replacing the alternator damper my footpegs could benefit from a couple of new parts. The spring was very rusty and indeed all the parts were looking a bit sad. So here is what several hours staring at partzilla.com and a handy powdercoater gets you!
I have the other side to build up tonight. I've also just got back the top yoke in black satin and the handlebars. I have new grips and end weights to add.
Now starting to ponder the possibility of replacing the switchgear with newer stuff, perhaps even from a Blackbird. assuming the handlebar diameters are the same? both 22mm I think but not sure.
Alternator damper still not installed but footpeg is! Hmmm and all this is distracting me from my GPZ600R restoration!
