Is it normal for idle to 'flutter'?

I guess you could cut them up but not sure how it would turn out.
I'll send you my address so you know where to have the dremel shipped

Thinking I am going to go with the http://www.kosonorthamerica.com/ gauges. They are really nice. More expensive than the vapour, but I like the bulkier unit.

I like the Koso gauges but the nice ones are sooo expensive.
There are also the Acewell ones...

After looking over the gauges, I remain fully confident in my ability to remount them in a new panel. However . . . I'd like to fund as much of my mod work as possible by selling off stock parts, and it occurred to me that the stock gauge panel would be worth a fair bit. So I'm now somewhat open to the idea of aftermarket gauges -- if I can find any that I don't hate. Which I haven't so far. Digital tachs make baby jeebus cry.

are easy to do the basics on. Ive just had my clearences set today and we fitted a manual cct aswell , i did the lot bar set the valves and found it a snap really . We didint even replace any gaskits and ive been on a long run and shes mint , no more cct rattle Im just going to enjoy it now over our summer here in nz then upgrade next year to somethink a bit freasher . I love this old 90 cane thou , its been reliable and looks great with my new r1 pipe and custom paint job.

I'll have to do some research and see how difficult it is to get different gauges set up and working. I can buy an '01 929RR cluster for $35, it has analog tach/digital everything else, but I'm not sure if it would be workable.

Let me know what you find out about working a cluster like that - I'd be interested in helping you out with that one as I would do it myself too
