I went for a longer ride yesterday including some miles at highway speeds. The gauge settles just below the middle and a bit cooler at highway speed. I think that is probably what you should expect when things are normal.

I agree. All I know about this bike is that it was my future son-in-laws first bike and he sold it to my son to clear his garage. He had bought it back some number of years ago for cheap because he had a soft spot for it and then just parked it. I have no clue who modified it. The paint has some kind of sparkling flakes in it. I am certainly not a Michael Jordan fan and I agree on the stickers. My son's other CBR is in the background next to my Harley.

Mine was uglied up with stickers, over rattle can orange metallic. Had to get those stickers off the 1st weekend. Could not wait to repaint it. No way I wanted to be seen on that fugly bike as it was.
If I was more patient, I would have done a more careful job on the paint. Made some dumb mistakes and had to redo details.
Anyway, proud to be seen on it now. People are already asking about it.

Ooh bummer, tried a cheap Celox R&R. Worked for about 700 miles, not anymore.
Gonna try a salvaged OEM Honda R&R, just wanna find out how cheap I can go for a quality.

I used this one. https://www.ebay.com/itm/UNIVERSAL-M...72.m2749.l2649
It does such a good job at charging at all engine speeds.

The salvaged Honda R&R I got is also a Shindengen, but only $34.
