Honda 87 CBR600F Hurricane, project
Here's my beater Hurricane, still on the trailer. Looks like it needs everything.
From the scratches, I'm thinking it was originally white.
Ok, looks like there's 2 choices of graphic designs for the 1st generation CBR600F.
Here's what I wanna finish with:

Started work…
Now just doing examinations and planning.
Looks like it only needs about $500 of parts, and that includes: AMG battery, fork spring upgrade, chain & sprockets, rear tire, tank decals, gasket, and muffler.
I have PPG black, Chrysler Prowler red and clear coat on hand.
Original red wheels are under the spray bomb, comes off with solvent.

Keep giving us updates. My son bought one of these for a few $ dollars and it has been my 'pain in the butt' ever since then. I am a Harley guy and I don't know anything about how these bikes are supposed to run; so it is a guessing game. Would love all of the info and updates you can provide.

Your family situation is kinda common. There's been a kid doing track days here and I seen his dad wearing Harley shirts.
So the Harley dad came last month with a 78 Kawasaki KZ650 just restored and ready to race!!
He was really slow on the track with a coach leading him and another newbee around, keeping them to the side so the rest of us could pass safely.
Said nothing he's learned in his 40 years of riding was anything like riding on a race track!!! He was having an absolute BLAST!!!!
PS: I'm 65 yo

The Clymer manuals are great, all the tech details are in there. The factory service manuals are better or just different, but always more pricey and hard to find.
I'm gonna check & adjust the valve clearances this weekend, then check the compression. All that info is in the Clymer.
No chrome on a sport bike…I hate polishing stuff.
I have an 82 Suzuki GS1100G with chrome pipes, would be nice to re-chrome those but what, watch them peel all over again?
That's my favorite road bike too, don't want it down for more than a week.
