This weekend I'm looking to replace my front brake system (complete assembly), my throttle cables, and fork seals on my 89' CBR. I have never worked on a bike before so any information or problems I should be expecting I would appreciate the advice.

 

read the manual before you start and get all the parts you need.
you need to figure out some way to support the front of the bike for the suspension.

 

a triple tree stand for the front is necessary, along with a lot of patience. the throttle cables are easy. brakes are a bit tricky, but you dont need to completely replace, just some stainless lines, and if the calipers arent functioning a master cylinder and caliper rebuild will work great.
