What are the proper steps on taking off your rear tire?
Do I really need a special tool take off and on the chain? Or can I just use a flat head screw driver to take off the master link? Is there a video online. Please post...I got a flat and want to take my tire to Cycle gear for a replacement...Much thanks

Its for an F3 but the steps are the same (you'll obviously have to adjust accordingly for your bike):

The rear wheel of a 600RR comes off in this one. This may be closer to your bike:

You dont need to undo your chain to get the rear wheel off.
Undo the nut on the axel. Then move your set screws in (Note where they were before you move them). They are just in front of the nut you took off (One on each side). Then slide the wheel in and you should just be able to pull then chain off of the rear sprocket. Slide the axel out and your done. Sorry if this does not make sense.
