Tire life
Honestly, the expected tire life on bikes really scares me when you consider how much the things cost. I've go through bikes like some people go through clothing and have yet to change a single tire. This, however, will change since I just bought my first new bike and since I will most certainly be changing these tires at some point, I was wondering what kind of kit you guys use and any pointers anyone may have to do this correctly. I'm not looking forward to the $160 price tag for the diablo corsa tire that's on my '06 1000, but I figure that I'll be replacing it by late summer since I put a lot of miles on my bikes.
Thanks,
Ken

Tire prices can be scary, but it pays to shop. I run a bike shop, so I can say that we do try to compete with the insane cheap tire prices you can get at places like MAW. That, and if you buy the tires from us, we charge less to mount and balance than we would if you bring them in from else where. Got stands? Most shops charge less if you just bring in your rim as opposed to a whole bike.
I have the corsa's and I have 6132 miles on my bike.. I hit up the cayons pretty hard at least once a week. But mostly freeway driving. My 2 cents.
wow, i did'nt know they can last that long. My corsa has 2500 miles and they look like slicks.

well i got 10.6 miles on my rear diablo corsa. O wait thats cause i hit a nail on my way home from the dealership, but i bought a new one and still have the old one if anyone is interested in buying and patching it, its great for burnouts and stunts now.
