Default Tire life

OK, before this thread gets started, I know i'm hard on tires. What I need to know is what mileage you are getting out of yours. Please list the make and the mileage of your last couple of sets. I'm looking at getting 2 sets of the new M3 and 2 sets of Pilot Powers in a couple of weeks. So far this year I used 5 rears and 4 fronts in 6100 miles.

Diablo Corsa Miles 900 rear 1000 front.

BT015 Miles 1200 rear 1700 front

Conti Road Miles 1700 rear 1700 front
Attack

Thanks for the imput, as I'm trying to see what lasts the longest for this group. FYI I ride 70% of my miles on some great curves that are within 20 minutes of my house. The group I ride with meets twice a week for rides between 150-250 miles each time.

No track days, but lots of hard riding on some of the best Arkansas twisties. We have one road less than twenty minutes from my house that has a 15 mile section with about 115 25-30 mph corners in it. I might see one car on any given afternoon. In the last 5 years I've seen one police car on it.

No burnouts, ever... But after one trip down my favorite road my tires are balling up. For the record, this road is out in the middle of nowhere and it leads nowhere, you might see one car on it if you stay playing there for two or three hours. It's also in Arkansas so the road surface is good but it eats tires, and when it's hot like it gets here all summer our tires go away really fast. My friends on 600cc bikes average 2000-2500 miles out of their tires. I don't run it in triple digits either, but most of the corners are a lot of fun at two to three time the posted limit. Which is 50-75 mph. Of course they can be ran harder, but with the deer and turkeys it isn't really safe to run it over 75 mph. I know I could get a few more miles out of my tires if I hit the corners in a gear or two higher, but feeling the hard acceleration out of corners makes it worth using a few more tires a year.

I do need to do a track day so I can see where I'm at in relation to other riders, plus you can never learn to much about riding the curves.

I guess if most of you get a lot more life out of pilot powers say than bt014s it would be safe to say that I might be able to do the same. Which is why I was wanting to see the miles per set from all of you.

Whoa man, you are changing tires more often than I change my underwear...

But seriously now, I nursed 6000 miles out of my rear Bridgestone. I don't ride very hard (zero chicken strips though), but I do ride at high speed and I'm a fan of accelleration, so I wore the center of the rear tire pretty flat by about 2500 miles, then nursed through most of this riding season. Just put a fresh Bridgestone on it last week. Oh man, it's 15 minutes till quitting time, then I get to ride!!!
