Default Gas Milage - 1000rr vs 600f4i

Hi, I posted the same question in the 600f4i section, but I thought some guys who may know the answer to this don't hang out there anymore hehe

With the normal urban commute and calm speed limited ride out of town (whatever that means) , what's the gas millage difference gonna be between the 1000rr & 600f4i ?

Many thanx for your reply.

Phil

well being i had a 05 f4i and now a 06 1000rr, the only difference i know is the tank is gallon more, as far as milage you can get the same milage per tank as to scale of the tank on the f4i, i rode 140 miles round trip to work on both bikes, and had to fill up every day, so the one gallon of gas is the only difference, all freeway about 80mph average.

i believe that the mileage will be more or less the same

reason being while the 1000rr is larger and consumes more fuel, it doesn't have to run as hard to maintain freeway speeds (oem gearing @ 5000 rpm in 6th gear is about 80 mph ... nevermind the remaining 7-8ks )
