Default SCRATCH REPAIR ON THE BLACK 1000RR

Well the innevitable has happened and I have two scratches on the front of the bike near the right headlight. Does anyone have any suggestions on the best way to polish it out? Also, any cleaning tips on how to keep the bike from looking so dusty and scratched would be much appreciated. The black is gorgeous but looks like its going to be a nightmare to keep shiny.I have a can of spray clean / polish from honda but I haven't used it yet. PLEASE let me know I'm just getting overthe heart attack from the scratch.... breaks my heart

Scratches are always a good time to start considering decals. I don't recall the site name, but I
think its www.tapeworks.com

when I worked at a dealership we used honda spray on every bike with a terry cloth, no scratches and a very pretty finish, just mist and wipe of with a little elbow grease.

I have an 04 Black 1000RR myself. Looking for plastics at the moment but anyway about the cleaning. I too used to use the Honda spray on cleaner/ wax however that never got out the rain spots if you know what I'm talking about. A buddy of mine turned me on to Meguires Gold Class wax. The stuff is the best damn wax I ever used period! My buddy did one spot on my tank just to show me and I was hooked. You want to talk about a mirror finish then look no further! Sometimes I alternate between the Gold Class and the Cleaner wax also made by Meguires. Good stuff man I'm telling you, you'll thank me for it!
