I was told that Silkoline full synthetic is a good brand. That's what I've been using the last couple times. Any comments about this oil?

Hey Cornerchaser,

Wow! That's great to hear about the Silkolene. I get it from a local shop of stunters here in Orlando. It's $15 a quart, but if I only change it 4 or 5 times a year the price doesn't bother me. I see they carry it on Kneedraggers.com; they have a bunch to select from, so maybe you could start there. I can also ask this shop where they get if from it that will help, just let me know.

If you change it regularly any oil that meets specs will more than do the job. Filters are a bit different, but again, if you're changing the oil regularly and not riding dirt track or someting off the wall like that, it should all work fine.

There are laws about manufacturers voiding warranties because you don't allow them to do the work or don't use their brand of products when you do your own maintenance. They just can't do that. As long as you follow maintenance intervals and don't abuse the vehicle, you'll be fine.
