Default Need Your Knowledge!

Ok so I went to install my frame sliders yesterday and noticed that my bike was leaking oil! So upon further investigation I noticed the stator cover was cracked on the bottom. I have only dropped my bike twice and it's been awhile since that has happened but I think that's how it happened. I was wondering two things....#1 is do you think I can get it replaced under warrenty? and #2 if not where can I find a cheap one? Ok so three things lol! Are there any that come flat black already or maybe even Blue anodized!

That's definitely not covered under warranty. Get one off Ebay or www.BikeBandit.com

I tired Bikebandit but they don't list an 06 F4i. I know they use too but I went there this morning and couldn't find it! And the couple on Ebay are more expensive then buying them direct from the company. 58cycle has two on there for $64 + $10 Shipping but if you go to their web page it's $56 Shipped!

I went with NRC cover. A bit more expensive than OEM, but worth it....I hope (no crash tests for me)....and none anytime soon.

you just have to drop your bike once in order to crack the cover. my bike was knocked over by a car and I had to replace that cover. anyway, you can get a regular stator cover from ebay and paint it flat black or any color you want with high temp paint.

I was wondering that! Does anybody know what these are made of?? I'm a metal Fabricator for a living and can weld both steel and aluminumn, but some pot metals don't weld very well. Anyone know what it is?? Maybe I'll just take it off and try, I'm going to Powder Coat it when I'm done anyway.

Where can I find an NRC cover?

And stop dropping your bike. How do you drop a 350lb bike?
