I will be changing the oil and filter very soon.In the owners manual it indicates to change the Sealing Washer when the oil filter is getting changed.
Does the sealing washer come with the new oil filter or do i have to buy it seperatly.Also i could'nt find anything about the air filter in the owners manual.
My bike has 4k on it and how often doesthe air filter have to be cleand or replaced.Thanks

 

The manual for my 06 states to replace if the seal washer looks worn or if broken. If not, just clean and put back. Check to see if you have any oil leaks from the drain plug. If there is, then replace. And no, the oil filter does not come with one.

If you have an aftermarket filter, then I'd clean it ever other oil change. If your have a stock one follow the manual on replacement. Also depends when you change your oil. Some on the forum change every 1500. Others longer. Go by the manual.

 

I change the crush washer every time. They are cheap. Buy four or five when you pick up the oil and filter.
