Maintanence, idle and cam lobes?
So I gotmy first bike (95 F3)and I was wondering a couple of things first what is my bike suppose to idle at. I can adjust it and have heard a couple of different things from people but I wanted to know what CBR owners have there bikes at. Second when my bike is cold it clicks and I dont know why, the person I bought it from said it was the cam lobes? But I really dont know for sure. And third I was wondering what maintanence I should be doing? Are oil changes the same distance from each other as with cars? What oil do I use and what other stuff should I watch for or do?
Thanks

mine idles at a steady 1100 rpm, don't know about lobes!!??? maintainence depends on mileage, honda recommed oil changes at 8000mile intervals, I do mine every year. If you don't know the history of the bike I would recommed changing all the consumables on the bike, i.e fuel filter, air filter, oiland filter, brake fluid etc etc......Use the oil that honda recommend as it oils the gearbox aswell.
mine idles at 1500 rpm, the manual recommends about 1400-1500. The clicking might be the cam chain tensioner, when mine went out it kinda sounded like marbles rolling around in the crankcase.
