Im glad the tune resolves the issues, that is what I expected, too bad I didn’t even have that option. It’s ok, the linked wheelie/traction control bugged me, the ‘17 just wasn’t meant for me no matter how much I wanted it. Looks like they separated traction and anti-wheelie in ‘19. After being a die hard cbr enthusiast for 20+ years, I’m not sure I’ll be able to go back for another after a very painful year of dealing with the manufacturer. I’ve been riding CBRs since the 90s, blackbirds, 600’s, 954, 10R.
Wait, so you successfully sue Honda and get a settlement resolution to the same issues others are supposedly experiencing and you just walk away without an explanation?

It sounds like the "knock" might have been induced by bad quality low octane gas and after engine damage occurred you managed to get Honda to buy back the bike.

I’m really not sure how you jumped to an octane diagnosis....I guess that’s what everyone’s problem is on this thread, including me, who has put premium in every sportbike I have owned for over 20 years...... Troll much, brah?? LOL

I have not expanded publicly because I settled with Honda and I am not exactly sure what I can share publicly without re-contacting my lawyer. I can say that numerous bikes in my area have experienced issues with the throttle bodies, some of them resulting in catastrophic failure. Put it this way...if your bike hasn’t exploded or tried to kill you yet, you don’t have the same problem as I. As I stated previously, the spark knock was the tip of an iceberg in my case. If spark was the only issue, a tune and a few track days will likely set you straight.

just reading this Did wollich tell you that you would have to disconnect the O2 sensor ? Did the bike still ping at around 3600 rpm ? Did you see a check engine light come on after reinstalling the ECU and disconnecting the O2 sensor ?
