2007 Honda cbr stop running while riding and smoke coming from exhaust
I have a 2007 Honda cbr1000rr with 8k miles. While riding the bike turned off and wouldn’t start again. There was smoke coming out the exhaust nothing too bad but their was smoke coming out of it.There was a burning smell too. What could this be what should I start first.it never started after that.It starts sometimes but for a second or two.Any advice would be appreciated

Wow, at 8k miles it must really have been thrashed (used for racing and then fitted back into donor bike?).
How long have you had the bike?
Hopefully it will be a split hose dumping coolant onto the exhaust or something similar, would not account for it not starting tho, but that could be something else.... fingers crossed.

- contaminated oil by coolant, causes main & rod-bearing damage
- washing oil off cylinders and causing severe scratching.
Can get 10mm adapter for compression-tester: https://www.innova.com/products/10mm-adapter-05-6208
While plugs are out, can test ignition system:
- leave coils connected to harness
- insert plug into coil
- ground case of plug to engine, chassis, or jumper-cable to batt-neg.
- crank, do you see spark jump @ plugs?

Luckily engine stopped soon after coolant got it. So no damages:
