Default What year fuel tanks will fit a 1996 CBR 1000F?

Hello to all from Harrisburg, PA. I have recently purchased a 1996 CBR 1000F. I love it! However, it has a dent in it's fuel tank so I want to replace it. I found a 1994 that is the same color and paint scheme. Does anyone know if the 1994 will fit my 1996 without modifications? Thanks for any details you can provide!

Jay

93-96 all 3rd generation bikes. I don't know any changes. Petcock, sender, and hose hook-ups should match up.

Where is the dent? Is it in a creased part of the tank or on a flat or rounded area? Lots of people have success with filling tank dents with bondo. You will probably have to paint a new tank anyway and motorcycle tanks are generally pretty outrageous in price. Even ebay... tried to find one a few years ago for a shadow 1100 that my dad knocked a cooler off of a shelf onto.
