am new here and not sure if this has been answered before, but.....
what model year fairings would fit a '96 F3?

 

Without modification I think its just the f3s (95-98). Maybe f2s will fit, but why would you go for an older look? I know with some serious modification anythings possible. Someone on here did an rr or f4i conversion, search for it.

You can replace your tail fairings with a 97-98, which look better and require only that you replace the tail light I believe. I think I may do that this winter.

 

F2 fairingswill bolt up to an F3 BUT there are some differences like the shifter on the F3 will hit the bottom side of the left fairing due to the action being reversed from the F2, also the front upper fairing stay is slightly different because the angle of the fairing was changed in 95. My 96 had an F2 stay on it and the F3 fairing would not lign up on it so I had to change it as for the tails they are the same, tail light also same and look just like the F3.
