I took the speedo off the front wheel and changed it to the front spock, Mine reads a little of the actual speed that I am doing. I do have the Gramin that helps me out when I do need to do the correct speed

Yes, sprock.... I'm talking about the bike.

Today, I did a quick rear alignment and ran the **** out of her for about 80miles.
She is running better than ever, and I couldn't be happier. Fresh oil, AGM battery, balancer and chain adjustment, seafoam, new sprockets (17/44), new rear tire..... ****in' sweet. Purrs like a kitten at idle and smooth as silk to redline.
I found some new twisty roads today, too. One of which has a marked "10mph" S-curve (don't think I've ever seen one marked 10 before... ) and 2 "15mph" ones.

I like the PR2 rear, btw. I think we're gonna get along great.
I had one of those days where you and your bike feel so good that you're flat-out doing chit you shouldn't.

That was the exact way I felt after I rode 50 miles and then started doing the round a bout's here. I should not have leaned that far. But, wow what a feeling. I am sure it was cause of the new tires.

Thumbs up Electrical

Pulled the tail, removed the R/R (it's toast) removed the battery (the R/R
toasted it ) checked the intermediate red plug and cables , cables fine
not yet charred , plug still good not burned ....but brass connectors heavily
oxidized .....took a dremel wire brush to em and now they shine .

Waiting on a new Batt' ....Thanks Trout ..... killer recommendation
Waiting on Electrex R/R from the UK ..... credits to Pete & Daniel ARG
on that one.

Think I got in ahead of this issue jit (just in time) ....that voltmeter
was a great investment especially when is shows 17, 18 , 19 volts !!

Downside ..... grounded "literally" for a few days

^^ Yeah, that sucks dude... but at least it didn't fry anything else!!

Plus, it inspired me to check all my components, wiring, and voltages.

got my bike in pieces. waiting on some bigger jets in the mail for when i open up the intake and exhaust. i still need to pull the carbs off to clean and prep them to go back in. all the plastics are off ready for a little paint work. still unsure of color choices, but ill do some digging around and see what id like the best. im still leaning towards a matte black with gloss red accents. i probably need some new pegs as well since the ones i have on the bike are all bent from the guy before me riding like a d-bag. anyone have experience with pro-tek pro-lite pegs? also, possibly have a V&H header lined up from a local in chicago so that will take care of my exhaust dilemma.

spent most of the time the past few weeks getting my '81 KZ440 running so my lady friend can learn to ride on it. ~$250 total into this bike and its running, replaced the battery and rebuilt the carbs and she runs great. its missing a little so im gonna replace the plugs and see how it reacts.

overall, working on these bikes is giving me something to do lately so i am enjoying myself.

That's cool as hell, man.
No experience with those pegs.... sorry...
But the black and red sounds good...

And the fact that you have a running KZ for $250 as a learner is awesome!
