Rode it to work today. Finally!
Sweeeet! Me too. I've gotten to ride all week and it's awesome. Almost makes me want to go to work! (well, till I get there at least...)
I've been riding the KLR, but I finished up the CBR last night. She's ready to roll for the weekend with new sprockets, rear tire, lamps, battery, etc. Which is good because I swear other riders don't take me seriously when I'm on the Kawasaki....it's like I'm riding a moped or a scooter.... (half-assed waves and everything)
Also got a new Scorpion lid and perf leather jacket.

I took it during the diagnostic start up. I took other pics but this one looked the best all in all.

Went out to my garage this morning to a totally dressed down bike by midday she
was all back together. It was 77F (25.6C) here today ......so off we went for the
afternoon .....scrubbed the new rubber ....all I can say is WoW ......picked up
some good company along the way .........what a super day .....best one in a
long time. That 20 weight oil I just put in makes her shift like a hot knife slices
through butter.....fantastic .......total man and machine harmony .

And Hawk .......the Dyna Beads are the absolute ***** man .......pm me for the
source ....first bag I got on ebay were fake (glass sand blasting media !)

Changed the oil
Replaced the front brake pads.
Replaced the speedo - now have a K/Hr unit
NOTE: Gearing on the Mk1 speedo off the front wheel
is lower than the Mk2 driven off the front sprocket. Speedo over reads a bit more than usual.....
Face plates have different spacing for the screws on the face plates too.
