Must be a thing going around Mark.... Over the last few days while hitting a couple of mean pot holes filming , I managed to break two of the front lower fairing bolts mounts on the bit that covers the exhausts ect ... hanging on by one bolt now ...it can't go anywhere and I am not sure if I can fix it or replace it ?? hmmm....

Go Steve go........... we're with ya man .........
Sprock, an old buddy of mine had a '90 just like classics and he lost like 4 of those dam fairing bolts in like a week.
I lost one last year and bought a few replacements, too.
(I have one holding my valve cover on now...lol)
Classic, maybe use zip ties??

The lower are fairing and front covers too , are fixed with ittts wittsy hex head screws that sort of bolt into plastic bits to the front side fairings(and my little plastic bits are cracked , so they do not hold anymore ) ... the bottoms are held with chitty little clips normally ...
My vhitty little clips went west ages ago and I just put 2 zip ties back in there place (yu cant see the buggers really ..)
dunno if you could do much about them letting go ... and I don't think that super glue would fix them really ...
I am going to have a shot at repairing them over the next week ...so I will let yu know if anything works ...
Yours is a later model though ... dunno if they are the same ???

Well the one I lost was because I left it bit less tight as I was repairing a crack
that was starting at that point .........I put a gel based two part epoxy in behind ....
gobs of the stuff ..........which did the trick............but forgot to tighten it up later
and it fell out.
Anyway got my spares coming next week ..........link above
