Yep just steel and i used " wheel silver " from the local car shop, its for spraying steel wheels and they said it needs no laquer. Im very happy with the finish on it even with just a quick rub down with wet & dry before primer (thats the swing arm not me). I tried not to scatch it too much when refitting especialy with the chain.

Just watch for the spacer on the swing arm (right hand side) it fell out on removal & i didnt notice. After refit & test ride which felt fine i found it on the garage floor, couldnt find it in the haynes manual diagram but worked out where it came from so my brother & i put it in on the sunday morning (easier 2nd time round lol).

Default Tank Pad

I ordered a tank pad. I think it will look nice and I can't complain about the price. Let me know what you think.

Clocks and carbs back on the 1993 - putting carbs back on in 28 degree (-2c) was an
interesting exercise as the rubbers are pretty much stiff as a board ! Almost as much
fun as putting new rubber on the KLR a little later in the same temp.

But all in all - good to be getting back to wrenchin' and preppin' for full blown riding season
in March

Okay so a sneak peak to you guys. As I have said I am gonna build up a thread soon. But I got way too exited yesterday about my wheels. Sooo
I am gonna sharee my big big huge grin!

Before u judge, As I started to take down pieces I discovered huge damage to fairings and hugely rust. And when working on fairings (i am tired at the moment from em so I desided to do wheels for exchange).

On fairings work I started noticeing that eighter over 50 % of parts has been changed or someone has desided to paint the bike from its original white red colors to 91 yr 1000f Original color. Seems that the last version looks more logical since my rims are also white originally and found red fairings (originally)

Since u guys know how art is in my veins I could n t say no to myself. I had to paint it over anyhow so I ended up with my own design.

I do wish to keep all other parts as original as I am able! It is honda still.

So She is in a half at the moment. One half at my work...
(Already made rust fixes on frame.)

And other half in my living room.

(made her a bed and everything )

And now my new rear rim
