What have you done to your CBR 1000f today?

Good job, craig.
Some shops are ****in' crazy. It pisses me off.
My local guys want $50 at one, and $60 at the other...with the wheel off. It's a complete ripoff, no doubt about it. Glad to see you doing it yourself.
Local dealer charges $100 to change tires ride in/ride out, $70 if you take him the wheels and tires.

Oiled her up , cleaned rims, treated the leather seat after foul weather riding
last week.........new front brake pads........put battery on reconditioner
Yep a close one Steve.......mostly due to the not so good rubber on the bike
300 + for a set of Michelin PR2's is not quite in the budget at the moment so
the metzler banana skins have to do another thousand or two, just got to
go about things differently in the wet.........hydroplaning on a bike is a very
different feeling I can tell ya !..........no sudden movements permitted lol

Bloody weather has gone totally to chit here today ...
Blowing a dam gale and with intermittent rain ...
No riding this morning .. may be later if the crap blows over ..
Got her on the charger ... a wipe down , cleaned the wheels , oiled the chain...
She's all dressed up and no where to go..dam !!! .
Yer , I cant stand riding on tires once they start getting down Mark...
The bloody bike just does not feel right once the front especially gets low ..
Would be good to be able to afford new rubber at about 2/3's wear ...but with the cost of them and the frequency ....it's a definite budget killer ...
In the slippery chit on windy roads , I take it pretty easy these days ... but if its straight stuff , hey , I even try to deliberately break the rear loose for a bitta fun ... .. a small amount of drifting sharpens the skills and keeps you aware of what they feel like when yu get slightly outta shape ...
A ton of years doing a million klms of dirt biking and being a bit of a twitt when I was young playing around on the roads, makes playing on road bikes not so scary ...

Dirtbiking does help, doesn't it.
You should try it on a KLR650. It's such a pig, it's almost like offroading on the 'Cane... lol..
I was tearing through the dirt the other day, sliding sideways down hills and chit. You can't help but get loose. I mean, you can, it's just no fun...
It sucks yer weather is chitty. You've been gettin' shafted here lately.
It'll let up, though... Just think how many more days of riding you get than many of us folks. That makes up for it...
BTW, all I did to the bike today was clean it up. It's looking good!!

I have mentioned this before here a couple of times , ....but I spent the last 10 years of my dirt riding career on XR500 Hondas ..(2 of them)
BTW- I don't do dirt anymore these days .. I still would like another one ...but I had a couple of rather nasty crashes towards the end of my last 500's life that put me off continuing ...
Have you thrown the KLR down the track yet Dylan ??
The XR500 was a bit heavy but still felt nimble for its size ..

If anybody is thinking of making rim savers from old plastic bottles, don't. They wear straight through at the first pull on the tire iron.

^^^ HAHA.. Craig, your killing me..
It's a pain in the ***, no doubt about it. I'm sure I made up some new curse words, too. I can't remember most of it though. I was so pissed, I think my mind blocked out the entire day.
Kinda like how women have a hormone that makes them want more kids, even though the first one was a living hell from start to finish... lol..
Want to change a tire?? Sure!! Sounds like fun!! LOL..
I used a plastic coffee can. Had to double it up. Went right through the first time.
Mother chit****!!
Steve...
All three...
I guess it's not that bad, but it's no little dirtbike...
I think it weighs like 440lbs.

No chit ? is the KLR a bit heavy? , too high? , or just a bit physically big Dylan?
