Hmmmmmmmmmm good tip Paul.
I prefer a chain oiler with a small tap that you can turn off.

Unhappy CBR off the road still

That's an ominous puff you got there. Your mileage is around 40 thou from memory. Seems kinda prem for the gasket to be giving out, Then again you don't know exact history. Bugger.
On the other hand, You could just have the rubber fitted and split your ears with a grin.
Tough choice.
Beer at mine then?

NEWS JUST IN!
Low compression on #3 and sticking valve on #2 apart form that for 76K miles shes in good shape
Top end stripdown so wont be back until next week
In the meantime new front tyre fitted to replace wrong profile one on wrong spec wheel.
HID bi-xenon kit has arrived so will fit next week.

My 1990, checked all fluids , chain & tire pressures, brake pads. Added two aux
Backup Fuel Bottles ..... I'm like that . Bike has been given the complete once
over ..... now to load up and set the rear shock

Gonna be a kinda of no frills earthy look to this Touring machine ..... lol
- got my USMC MARPAT ILBE 65 litre dry sack and an Overboard 95 litre dry
duffel strapped on with 2 side bags and the 46 litre Givi crammed with all
my creature comforts for an upcoming excursion.

Lost the neoprene foam paint fairing protector pads for my
sidebags nothing two neoprene mouse pads didn't fix tho'

Nope just Brunton Fuel Bottles for now in my large touring tank bag. They can be used
for any kind of fuel .....gasoline included .... handy and small but hold enough for an extra
15 or 20 miles or so

Beats sucking gas down a tube !

Thinking at some point of maybe Koplin Fuel Packs

Next year the plan is Colorado and up thru' the Pacific Northwest potentially

I fitted a Datel voltmeter today wiring it to the headlight wires. Its attached to the ignition barrel and looks great. Only comes on when the lights are on. I finished it late so will post some pics tmrw. Cheers.

Default Rainy day forecast for 4 days

Left work early, I own the place so I figured WTF. Back wheel off, dropped off for new tire to be installed. Front and rear sprockets off. Chain tossed. Spent 3 hours scraping the garbage out of the front sprocket area. Decided the side stand looked kinda cruddy so that came off next. Cleaned all the parts and bolts up nice ready for re assembly tomorrow. Yup, decided to take it off along with all weekend too.

which bi-xenon kit did you get? which kelvin rating?

i am thinking over the winter i am gonna shoot for a projector retrofit and see how that works out. the only thing im nervous about is that im not sure that the headlight will take to the projector cutoff very well because of the etching in the lens. i guess ill have to find out the hard way...
