Will certainly do the job, though you may find that they're all still in spec anyway

Better than shelling out your hard earned on a tool you'll only use 2/3 times before you're pushing up the daisies!!

Indeed! Although im having a very hard starting problem that a motorbike mechanic assures me is very likely to be the valves.
