Tyre Review
Hi Guys,
Normally my tyre of choice are the Batalax BT0002 Racing. (Cause I get ex racing ones cheap)
But I was given a set of Maxxis SuperMaxx M6029 tyres to try.
People normally bag Maxxis because they are "budget" tyres. (They are about $60 a set cheaper than the other brands.
After using these for 3000km now I am converted. They look like they are going to last a lot longer than the normal 5000k's I get. They have great grip cold and great stabilty. They have a rounded profile. The only time I noticed the grip difference between these and the BT0002's was after 20 laps of Barbagello.
I think for this style of bike they are a great combination of grip, stability, tyre life & $$$

RE: Tyre Review
They have much better cold grip than the Pilots. They also squirm around less than the Pilots.
I have Tried the Pilot Powers, Pilot Sports and Pilot Road.
The Pilot Powers squirmed around a lot and didn't offer much grip in the rough roads or roads with crap or water on them. I also didn't get much life out of em.
Both the Pilot Roads & Sports scalloped very early in their life despite maintaining proper pressures. Tread wasn't very deep either. I was dissapointed in the tyre life on the road version.
