I guess it depends on how and where you ride. I have tried different tires and for what and where I ride I like the Z6s. They work OK in the cold and great in wet conditions. There are few days in the year where it is dry and hot enough for me to enjoy a sport tire. I find a sport tire needs almost perfect conditions for it to get hot enough to stick. I personally don't like them in the rain. When you do get to use them you eat them up.
I touring tire is to hard and will not stick in the cold and wet conditions. I find that the Z6 is a do everything tire for a do everything bike.

So find another vendor ! I can't speak highly enough about the Michelin PR2's - here's a pic of my rear tyre after nearly 7000 miles !! Note absence of chicken strips, and the fact that I'm nowhere near the tread limiters - should be good for 9500 - 10000 miles !Best I've ever had, sticks well in the wet, too, won an award for that. I'll be buying these from now on.....

Hmm. Am I the only one that doesn't like the PR2's on the CBR?
Had a few front end slides in Spain this August and that really knocked my confidence. They seemed okay on long sweeping bends but on tighter stuff I had a few 'moments'. 'Moments' that i never experienced with Bridgestone 020's. All I can say is that the PR's just seem to move about a lot.
Okay, the 020's don't last as well, and the 021's in my opinion wear out even quicker, but as soon as i get a chance i'll be going straight back to Bridgestone.
They say the PR2's are the best in the wet, and that may be true, but I never ride hard in the wet and would much prefer dry weather grip.
I wonder what would come out on top in a dry test??

I got the new PR2s on the bike and went for a quick ride yesterday. Nothing fast, just because I couldn't wait. The good news is that turning is now very neutral. I don't have to push or pull on the bars to keep the bike leaned over in a curve. I'm very happy about that. I'll have to see how they do with handling and grip but they're off to a good start.
