Default MICHELIN PILOT ROAD?

Has anyone tried the Pilot Road tires? I was not sure which one to get... the Pilot Power or Pilot Road. The only reason for even looking at the Pilot Road tires is I ride alot of highway miles to work and back. Has anyone used them? Just looking for some input before I buy....(inspection time is comming soon)

You should jump on the post I started yesterday on the Michlin Pilot Power. I have a full set on my '01 929RR and these things hug the road like they are dating. One of the members stated that a friend of his has a set on and rides the highway a lot (over 200 miles so far) and is just starting to get signs of wear in the middle of the tire but nothing to worry about. My advise is the Michelin Pilot Power all the way.

yea i'd go with the pilot powers.
i had a set put on in oct 04 took it to the track one weekend and they held up great!
since then i put about 3k on them and still have 50% left.

i give them a 10 out of 10!

I've got the Sport's which are middle of the road...a little firmer than your pilot, but more tread for when you hit water...just takes a couple minutes longer to warm up while riding if you plan on hitting twisties or playing on the track. They held up a lot better on a wet track than I thought they would when I went out about two weeks ago. Squirrelled out first thing in a huge puddle, but everyone was. The guy just going out right in front of me did it, I thought to myself "****...what if he lost it right in fro...FAWK, I'm going to go down!!!!!" - that was crazy...but that was just a wet straight, the damp corners held all the way through.

Honestly, I don't know anyone that's riding in the Road's around here at all. It's either Power's or some 208's or higher.

Sorry we didn't answer your questions about the Pilot Road...we are just urging you to get the Pilot Powers. If no one has posted on your topic, it may not be that you are getting a response/assistance. It may be that no one else if really riding on them.
