Steering Shaft Removal
Wondering if anyone knew of a guide or tutorial on this?
I ordered a new steering shaft and forks, but I don't seem to have the right socket for the chrome nut on top. (I don't think the manual doesn't show the size of the nut)
I have also noticed I will need a special tool called a Steering Stem Socket for after I take off the upper triple mount.
Anyone know the size of the upper socket, and where to get the special tool?
Thanks

Update I took a sheet of paper and formed it over the nut, brought it to sears and asked someone to unlock the sockets and help me find one that fits. I am not a big fan of using 12 point sockets, but I found out it is a 30mm nut.
The other special tool "Steering Stem Socket" for under the upper triple, I just used a bigger flathead screw driver and a smaller hammer, and the nut came off without any damage or hassle.

Yeah but tightening it will be a bitch. It takes a 4 point, 36mm socket. I tried to grind out 4 points on a regular depth socket and it wasn't deep enough. Now, if you can find a deep socket 36mm, you'll be in business
