Start button jamming
Over the past week my start button has been a bit temperamental. It hasn't been going in far enough to make contact to start so I've been jiggling it around until it did. Now I don't seem to be able to make it work at all.
Have opened the switch assembly up. Can I get in there to have a look? Is it possible to remove the headlamp switch assembly which is above the starter switch?
Can I cut the ignition wires temporarily and hold them together to get her started until I find something more permanent?
Cheers.

Thanks Dub,
Just spent a couple of hours trying to get into the switch but without much luck. So I got out my Haynes manual, traced the wires from the switch and spliced in a couple of new wires that I can join whenever I want to start her up. I'll buy a switch tomorrow from Halfords or Maplin.
When I finished it was midnight but I had to get out my cheap telescope to look at the heavens because I could see Jupiter in the sky. In the telescope I could see the markings on the planet and four moons. That's 370 million miles from here - kind of puts things in perspective doesn't it.

Hey:
Clear fall skys in the UK is a big event, so I would be doing the same, can't miss that.
Maybe you'll see some of the space junk and if it is getting bigger in the Tscope Duck and run fast, far far away.LOL

I'd just get this, it'll probably work out cheaper in the end

There are others on e-bay as well, maybe a bit cheaper.
