Default 1996 CBR 1000f luggage options

Good day all,
The Mrs has agreed to me adding a few touring items to the bike to make her ready for the long haul. We want to do some sport touring this fall so now is the time to buy the gear, test it on the commute to work and weekends. So please post your opinions, recommendations, pictures and where you purchased the items. I have ordered a new windscreen, new foam grips and two matching helmets to date. Lets here about your panniers, seats, tank bags and trunks. Thanks for your help, John

Nonfango 3x48L units. Work well, comfortable.
Found on e-Bay.UK
New prices are silly...............
Krauser, Givi for other hard boxes, and plenty of soft options, like Oxford.........

I recommend corbin pass. seats
(as well as rider seat) they even make a backrest for the f4i, maybe for your ride as well

You got that right, shadow. I looked around at boxes for my bike a few months ago. Damn. Very pricey!!
I like the way yours looks, man. Nice and clean looking, and the black compliments the silver well..

Yep Shadow's set-up looks great. I will try to post up a few pictures of what I'm thinking of. New cases are way too high but when you factor in the low cost of the bike versus a new FJR or Connie 14, I could spend several hundred dollars and have enough left over for a nice tank bag and a GPS unit. Thanks gang, John

Here's a few more pics!

Default So the plan comes together

All,
I decided to go the soft luggae route. I settled on the Nelson Rigg Silver Streak tank bag and saddlebags from New Enough.com. After spending hours on the internet surfing from Denmark to China, EBay to CraigsList I got tried of the ripoff that is hard luggage for motorcycles. I found the set-up I wanted and speced it out with all the proper brackets, bags and trunk only to find the price at $1,023.00. That is totally absurd!!!! The pieces should arrive in the next few days and I will post pictures as soon as possible. Here's a few to hold you over. Later, JD

Okay guys, here she is with her touring dreams ready to be fulfilled. That is the Nelson-Rigg bags I was telling you about in a earlier post. The Silver Streak units match perfectly. I also went with Alaska Leather black sheep skin seat covers and a touring windscreen still has not arrived. More pics when I get it mounted. Thanks, JD

The tank bag was $80.00 and the saddlebags were $125.00 at NewEnough.com. They are a super group of people and the service is through the roof. Thanks, JD
