I do the same, i.e. change the front and rear tyre at the same time to enjoy the nice and linear cornering that you only canachieve with anew tyre set.

The wear ratio front-rear differs a lot between riding styles, bikes and type of tyres. A light high-powered bike that is used a lot on straights on full throttle can definitely eat two rear tyres for each front tyre. A frontheavy bike that is cornered a lot and has BT021´s will almost be the opposite; the rear may last as long as the front tyre.

My front tyre (MP 2CT)on the Suzuki has about 30% left when the rear is bald. I then change both tyresbecause the front tyre will soon handle bad anyway and this is no fun.

The front tyre (BT021)on my Bird will probably reach end of life before the rear even though the bike has a lot of power that is used frequently. This is a known weakness of BT021’s.

I believe the latest tyres are moving in the ratio 1 to 1 concerning F/R life. The front tyres are quite soft for good grip and rear tyres last better than earlier since they now usually have a harder mid-section.
