Put a multimeter on it.
At idle it should be showing around 13.8v
At 5000rpm it should be around 14.5v
If it showing less or not increasing at all when you rev the bike then its cactus.
If the regulator part just blows than it will show around 15v on onwards and will boil your battery dry.
