Does it not have two castle nuts underneath the top yolk?

Yeah, need to remove top fork-clamp to get to adjustment cup and locknut underneath.

No wait, I can’t even get the top fork bridge off. Isn’t it just pulling the silver top part off the stem and then having the other nuts, washers and bearing cap underneath it?
the shown picture is from earlier models I think.

No, after you remove the stem nut you need to loosen the top yolk clamps which are hex nuts at each fork leg.

That will allow you to lift the top yolk and get access to to castle nuts.

Sorry, the clamps are open, the forks are out. The plate cannot be lifted and I don’t know why. Maybe rusted…

Squirt PB-Blaster around outside of steerer tube where it goes through upper fork-clamp. Then put piece of wood underneath next to steerer tube and tap up with hammer. Move wood to other side and tap up. Go back & forth.

Got it. It really just stuck Hammer tight. Had use brute force 😂
its off now. Turning the upper part with some hits with a hammer did it.
