Default cbr600f restoration project

hi, Have anybody of You done any restoration project on bike which stood for 5 years? I've got yesturday bike with sized wheels, chain etc. also found some rust in tank, some petrol is still in tank so hoping that carb should be ok. where should I start? any adwise at all, please. kind regards Jocker01

removed tank today, and drained "petrol" on 1l petrol 1/3 was a water, do U think that water could past a petrol fillter? engine turn over so is not sized I'm concern about carb, if any water inside could damage it any idea how can i drain remaing petrol from carbs and put fresh one? how can i clean tank with some patches of rast? regards Jocker01

I would pull the carbs off, open them up, and clean them completley out. If they have been sitting that long its pretty likely that your jets are gummed up..

hi, bike is almost naked, good news is that carbs r in perfect condition, it was some old petrol "limescale" but it was easy to remove, engine started :d now need to remove everything else from frame and clean it and respray it with matt black paint. I was looking for some fairing on ebay from china or HK ready sprayed etc. but can't find nothing for cane regards Jocker01
