Default Where to go from here!?

I just purchased my Hurricane 87 600F and am looking for some ideas on paint schemes. As well looking to maybe make the bike somewhat custom with some changes to mirrors, turn signals, and windshield. If anyone has any ideas about changing things and or where to get some good parts for the bike please feel free to make suggestions. Also does anyone know if it is possible to fix an exhaust when it has been scuffed from being laid over by the previous rider?

Thanks guys

I'd put the red stripes back on and keep it as close to stock as possible. The exhaust can is steel and can be sanded and repainted. I use black high heat paint for bbq...seems to stand up well.

First off I'd go with Thrasher - easier to get parts, better resale if you wanted to.

However, if you really want to change it, for something original, maybe offer the idea of a colourscheme repaint/customise for the local college design class to take on as a project. Talk to the instructor about a what sort of parameters (cost, style guide etc) you'd put around the actual job. The class would get a kick out of designing something funky (each student submitting a different design), you could choose the best design, and you all could enjoy seeing a real finished product that would probably look amazing.
