no spark at plug on cbr1000f -help!
replaced engine while back and now its all fitted ive no spark at plug.
ive replaced the coils, leads and plugs.
i have 12v at all pins on coils.
engine turns over on starter fine.
the old engine had 2 wires coming out of crank sensor (pulser??) a yellow an white/yellow.
the new engine had 4 wires - yellow an white/yellow and a blue and white.
i just connected the two corrsponding wires. could this be my problem?
Any help appreciated , thanks mike.

The old motor most likely had a dual pulser setup , your new one most likely a single

hi ok thanks for help - my question is there any way i can tie in a 4 pin crank sensor into my old 2 wire ecu/wiring - or have i got to change the crank sensor to my old one.
i know on a bike this is a 5 minute job but my engines (two off!) are fitted into the back of a peugeout 205 race car! and to change the crank sensor i have to remove the whole engine! thanks again

Well Sahdow, I guess some folks have fun in different ways.LOL
Mike, how hard would it be to get the CDI that was with the new engine? Also what was wrong with the old engine? Can you use the bottom end of the old and rebuild the top of it with the new?

Mike, I know your've got your hands full trying to sort the issue, but dude, your statement has made mine and no doubt others sit back and go whoooa! You've gotta to show us some pics of this little beastie in all it's glory!
Anyone that fits highout bike motors into small cars is a definate plus in my book. The last one I rode in was a cut down mini with a GSXR 1100 motor in it for slalem(I know, can't spell it) work.......absolutely mental.
Hopefully ya get it sorted, and I have to eminate 'Shadow' "check everything.

I use to have Mini's, 850 cc. I installed a 1275 in one set up with duel carbs like an MG Midget but it's 75 ponies at best.
I would like to still have my '69 Midget but modified with a modern aluminum V6 and running gear.
I often was thinking about a bike motor and using foot power for reverse.
