Have you checked the ignition coils? If all is good with the carbs, this would be my next port of call. A classic symptom of higher rev range faltering. Check resistance is in spec or take them to a bike shop which has suitable testing equipment.

Hey Henry, I havent checked the ignition coils but I did as much maintenance to electical contacts, cleaned and wd 40 then blow dried, changed the plugs, noticed no3 was wet and fouled, emptied the carbs and tapped the bowls, then i repositioned the fuel hose so that it does one big uturn down into the carbs, no uneven kinks, took her for a ride and at first it was just the same, no good, then she just kicked back in after 2 minutes of riding, I couldnt belive it, maybe the carb bowls took a while to fill properly maybe it was petrol all along...doh! ..and now to make matters more doh'ish, left the bike at the front of the house after a nice ride today, until rapid weather change caught me in thunderstorm, anyways, got home, got in the house getting ready to dry up and thought poor bike she running so good and Ive just left her out in the rain, so i went out to the front, opened the gate, the ground is wet, i simultaneous click the control for the garage door which is 20 meters down to the back of the house, start the bike and off to the back, pick up a little speed, approach the garage, applied light front brakes......my garage floor is made of that marble slate material..kabang! irony is I was out in the rain at speeds today, its all good, same side as last time she fell... broke a brake lever this time. no biggie. she started up and sounded great still though.

Good to know the problem is resolved. So do you think it was the carbs in the end?

Hawk. I think maybe it was a combo of fuel hose positioning not allowing the bowls to fill up quick enough and maybe another replacement of plugs helped too, I noticed number 3 and 4 were fowled and plugs seemed really easy to unscrew like I didnt tighten properly from last change...and you are spot on Jarvid...still havent synched (to lazy to go to bunnings) and get new vaccum hoses as the orginal set has become brittle from the heat of previous syncs.
Its great not having to ride her just to work anymore (changed jobs), just pleasure rides now.

I was going to get a morgan tune kit for syncing my 93 until I saw how much harder the 93 is to hook up to the gauges than the earlier models, seems like Honda changed the pick up points to make people like me return to dealers to get the work done instead of at home.
It is good to hear she is now just for pleasure instead of a work hack, it is so much nicer to just ride for the thrill of it with no known destination when you start.
