New camchain tensioner
Full Tight adjustment?
Dude there is no adjustment on these tensioners. Its not like other bikes or cage ones.
You hold back then tension until you get the chain on the sprockets. There is no way to get the tension wrong.
As for the blade, there is only one. Again the CBR works different. Most bikes push on the chain from the outside to provide tension. The CBR actually pulls from the inside.

Not at full tension, but NO tension..............................
NO WONDER IT RATTLED AFTER A WEEK.
Replaced the CCT and now have a timing issue, but will sort that when I stop swearing. ****, **** etc etc.

Anyone give me specifics on setting the timing - position of the cams in relation to the top dead centre marks on the crankshaft..................?
Thanks.
You should just be able to align the intake and exhaust marks on the cam gears flush with the top of the cylider head (on the oustide), with the crank positioned at TDC.
That's how all the dual cam honda motors are, i think. Except the car cam gears have inside and outside marks on the in/ex gears.

turn cylinder #1 intake and exhaust cam lobes
to about the 10 and 2 o'clock position.
The timing mark below
should be set on the "T" mark.
The intake and exhaust sprockets
have an "IN" mark and
an "EX" mark.
These marks each face outwards and
in line with the cylinder head
surface.
So, "IN" faces backward to rear of bike,
and "EX" faces forward to front of bike.
You may have to push on the
cam chain tensioner with
a screwdriver to ease the
tension while getting
the sprockets and chain on the
camshafts
.
Recheck the "T" mark and see that
the "IN" and "EX" sprocket marks align
with the head surface facing
away from each other to the
outside of the head.
Make sure engine turns okay
by hand.

Is it relevant which way the engine is spun to check the timing, ie which way the wrench will turn, clockwise, or..............
Thanks guys - thought I had it right, maybe not.....................****, **** again....
