I've been grinning all week on your behalf Matt.
Excellent news. Hope you're out enjoying her as she should be all over again.
Nice one. We all love a happy ending.

I drove her to work the past 2 days, she is back to her old self (great) she rocks like beast. I love the lunge at 7k feels great. I was putting gas in her the other day and I had compliments on the bike. One guy was shocked she is a 1988 model. He said he though it was only a few years old. Most young people don't even know what a Hurricane is.

I know I was interested in a blackbird if I could not fix the cane. Well I still like the Bird and may own one some day but not as long as the cane is up and running. In fact I may never sell the cane. I have learned so much on this bike and they are not that hard to work on. Besides I really like her.

U all know the Hurricane 1000 is a fast bike. I think it is brutal above 7k.
With my 16/43 gearing she is very quick off the line, will lift the front tire easy. Will even come up in 2nd. My question is about the power of the bird. I know the bird is lighter and faster overall. I would like to think the Hurricane could stay close to the bird in the low and midrange sprint in a straight line. Anybody ever tied up with one?
Not that it really matters, but I was just thinking about it the other day.
I know top speed the Bird is wicked fast at 180 +mph. Lately I have had no problems at putting the hurt on the R6 and Honda 600rr's. Not that I race alot I really do not. most of the time I just cruise on the old girl. But every once in awhile I flex those big Hurricane muscles and she is gone like her name "Hurricane"
