ORIGINAL: chip

I have a 96 which had an oem screen in really bad shape. I found a smoke screen made by zero gravity which fit perfectly. I bought it from indysuperbikes.com for less than $60.00 plus shipping.
Thanks!

Bump.

Dave, the OEM shock on my '93 was in pretty horrible shape by 30,000 miles. A Penske was a major improvement.

Fork springs IIRC are in the .65-.70 range. I've got RaceTech 1.05s on mine IIRC.

I always thought you could fit an F3 front end on this bike pretty easily (41 mm tubes, slide right into the stock triples), but I hadn't ever thought that the tubes might not be long enough. If they're not long enough, my second guess is that you could use the stock tubes with the F3 lowers. Then again, you wouldn't have the adjustability that you'd have with, say, a 954RR front end (yum).

I recognize you from the WERA board; used to hang out there a long time ago as jck22903.

These guys do after market tinted screens. I have one on my '94 1000f. They also do a touring screen that is slightly taller
