My 1998 VFR was a great bike - but my 1990 CBR1000 is better. Eats the miles so much more easily. And when I check the speedo I'm doing 10-20mph more than I thought (compared to the VFR if you know what I mean). And on my favourite B-road I can get her up to 140mph before I chicken out due to rough road surface and having to brake, whereas the VFR never made it past 130.

Only problem is she drinks so much oil.

The differences between the 88 and the 90 are significant, contrary to popular belief. Mine has a 140 back tire, which I have worn all the way to the edge. I can go through corners and come out of corners at MUCH higher speeds on the VFR, with the 180 back tire. Hurricane doesn't feel as trustworthy incorners. Too heavy, not a lot oflow end torque, not as comfortable. I did 500 miles on Saturday, and was able to walk the next day. 500 miles on the Hurricane, and my *** would be sore as hell, even with the Corbin seat. Don't get me wrong, I like my Hurricane, but not as much as my VFR. Maybe it's just me, but I feel much more confident a high speeds with the 'cepter.

and DAMN it sounds awesome...
