Default Grumbling rear brake

Hello all.
Just put new brake pads all round. Rear ones make a really embarrassing grumbling noise if I apply them gently. To avoid embarrassment I can only use the rear brake harshly (and skid).
Also grumbles sometimes when I'm wheeling the bike backwards.
They are Pyramid Parts. Had to remove some of the black plastic coating in the hole so that the retaining pin could pass through.
I also put Copperease on the rear surfaces.
Front ones are lovely.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Hopefully they will 'bed in' after a couple hundred miles.

Other than the noise are they operating normally?

Thanks Hawk.
Brake seems to work OK if I press a bit harder.
May just be bedding in as you say, though front ones were fine from the start.

Were the previous pads quieter? If so it's bedding in noise. If not, see that the slider pin for the caliper isn't corroded...can make the caliper bind up.

They're not kevlar.
I think the pins are OK, but would it hurt to make the holes in the pads a little bigger? I already did this as there was too much (plastic?) coating on them and the pin wouldn't go through. Maybe the pads are still binding a little?

I don't think the pads are seated in the caliper correctly and I would not make the hole any bigger as it needs to be just as big as the retaining pin

How worn is your disc? A large lip on the outer rim might be touching in the pad before the actual braking surface. Aka bedding in but there's a spec how mugh wear is accepted in the rotor. If the lip is very big it might turn the pads crooked.
